Hotel Lobby, Prefunction Art Gallery, Meeting Rooms, Fitness Centerm Lobby Bar, and Adjoining Union Restaurant

Key Elements:
Unique historic newspaper building renovated into a seven floor hotel in the heart of downtown Portland. The refinished exterior canopy greets patrons, and a custom sconce blends with the buildiing exterior to silently blanket the sidewalk with light. The hotel interior has a hip local vibe, warm cozy accent lighting, glowing decoratives, and pops of light for task. The prefunction gallery is meticulously lit, highlighting local artwork and double story typewriter wall.

Key Elements:
Iconic landmark building never before illuminated was carefully studied to ensure the absolute best design for all of it's differing architectural elements. Extensive late night onsite mock-ups of an entire vertical face were conducted to determine each fixture's LED distribution, mounting details, lighting throw, color quality, and lighting control zones.

Key Elements:
Prestigous historic club in the heart of Manhattan. The bar features a skylight that is washed with light at night, a glowing mirrored backbar, custom square downlights for mounting in the wrap around millworked wood ceiling, and a custom Lindsey Adelman pendant. The illuminated terrace balustrade draws members out to admire the breath taking views from the top of the Harvard Club.

Key Elements:
Located on the lower east side of Manhattan, this 3 room gallery boasts a clean look, using linear fluorescent to create a volumeteric white box of light, glowing the entire space. A regressed track flexibly allows for addiontal light sources when required. The meeting room mimics the dashed racetrack effect with pendant fluorescent fixtures.

Union Restauarant

Restaurant and Bar Adjoined to the Press Hotel
Portland, Maine
Key Elements:
A foodie's dream, the restaurant combine's a warm comfortable environment with a fun lively atmosphere. Oversized glowing drum pendants create an eclectic residential feel with a modern twist. The dropped wood slat ceilings have millwork cutouts allowing trackheads to drop through and accent tables. Special features are highlighted throughout the restaurant, such as integral lit floating shelves, the grazed wood slat bar front, the racetrack line of light over the bar, and the dropped glowing kitchen hood over the theatrical working kitchen.
